Grandparents Day & Special Friends Day, October 21

Grandparents & Special Friends are invited to join students, faculty, and staff on Friday, October 21, for a 9:00 A.M. reception followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Church. We are honored to have Bishop Edgar da Cunha S.D.V. as the principal celebrant. Register your Grandparents & Special Friends!

School Counseling Informed Consent Form 

St. Vincent’s Services is working with the Diocese of Fall River Catholic

schools to provide school adjustment counseling services.  The program is designed to help students improve classroom behavior, support academic progress, and assist with social and emotional issues. Every family is asked to review and complete the form.. For more information please contact Mrs. Kelley or Ms. Valentino.

School Store News

Letterman Jackets make a great gift! They are available to purchase through the school store.  Total cost including attachment of letter and embroidery of student name and school name is $225. PREPARATORY DIVISION

Lexington and Concord

The Class of 2024 will be traveling to Lexington and Concord on Wednesday.  Field trip uniforms with sneakers should be worn.  Please keep the class and their chaperones in your prayers for a safe trip.

8th Grade Retreat

The Class of 2023 will be traveling to Our Lady of Victory, Thursday, for their retreat. Field trip uniform with sneakers should be worn.

Lunch and Aftercare Invoices
Invoices for September Lunch and Aftercare will be emailed, through the FACTS system, early this week.  Preferred payment is through your FACTS financial account. However, you may send payment (checks made out to St. John Paul II School) to the attention of Mrs. Keras, Student Accounts.  Please be sure to note your child’s name on the payment/envelope to ensure proper credit.  Please pay promptly.

Spirit Week 

Spirit Week is finally here and the Student Council has a full roster of fun themes and events planned for each day this coming week.  Be sure to check your class’s Instagram page for important reminders on theme days and events.  Show your Lion Pride and let the most spirited class win!  Click here for the Spirit Week Calendar.

Homecoming Dance and Football Game
Student Council is hosting the Homecoming Dance on Friday, October 7 at  7:00 P.M. in the Prep Division gym.  Tickets will be sold during lunch, Monday through Thursday, and cost $10 per person (cash only).  If you plan on bringing a guest from another school, please be sure to get a guest form from the main office and have that filled out and returned by Thursday, October 7. You cannot buy a ticket for a guest without the completion of a guest form.  Hope to see you on the dance floor!

The Homecoming Football game is Saturday, October 8 at 12:00 P.M. at the Sandwich Pop Warner field.  Homecoming Court will be announced at halftime.  

Parent Teacher Conferences – Save the Date

Guidance Department News

October 5-PSAT Preview

On Wednesday, October 5, the Guidance department will be presenting on the PSATs. This will be a session for parents and students reviewing expectations on test day, the different tests offered on SAT School Day, and the types of questions to expect. ECHO Retreat

The ECHO (Encountering Christ in Others) Program has been an active ministry on Cape Cod for more than 50 years, offering unique and powerful weekend retreats to thousands of youth. For the first time since 2020, ECHO is once again offering retreat experiences for high school youth. They will begin with 4, 1-day retreats beginning in October then resume the traditional 3-day overnight retreats in March.
