Deacon Adams holds a degree in Business Administration from Salem State University and a Masters in Ministry from St. John's Seminary. He is the varsity girls basketball coach and a personal trainer. Dcn. Adams has been blessed with three children and is a parishioner at St. Anthony's Church in East Falmouth with his wife.

Mrs. Nicole Anthony
Mathematics

Mrs. Anthony teaches mathematics to the sixth grade and is a sixth-grade homeroom teacher. She holds a BA and M.Ed. at Providence College. Mrs. Anthony has been with us for several years teaching mathematics at our high school. She is a parishioner of Our Lady of Victory.

Mrs. Jacqueline Battles P '12
Science
Grades 5-8
Mrs. Battles teaches grade five and grade six science. She is a graduate of Salve Regina College. She is a member of the New England League of Middle Schools. Mrs. Battles is on the faculty council of the National Junior Honor Society and middle school cheerleading coach. Mrs. Battles has been a faculty member since the second year of the school’s opening.

Ms. Berbine earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State University, and her undergraduate degree from Salem State University, and is a trained Montessorian. Mrs. Bivona earned her B.S. and her M.Ed. in Art Education at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Bivona is a member of Holy Trinity Parish.

Mrs. Byrd joins us with over 30 years of experience as a pediatric nurse with a focus on pediatric, neonatal and maternal child nursing. She is a graduate of Boston College and Indiana Wesleyan University. Mrs. Byrd has three married children, one grandson and one granddaughter. She and her husband live in Eastham.

Mrs. Anne Marie Carr, P '04, '07, '10
Language Arts & Reading
Mrs. Anne Marie Carr teachers language arts and reading to the seventh grade, and she is also a grade seven homeroom teacher. Mrs. Carr earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Saint Bonaventure University. All three of Mrs. Carr’s daughters are graduates of SFXP. Mrs. Carr is a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church.

Mr. Hanwen "Alex" Chen will teach Chemistry and Physics (including A.P. levels). He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has been an instructor, science researcher, and government lab analyst. His experience as a student at Archbishop Williams had a tremendous impact on his life and is why he wanted to teach in a Catholic school.

Mr. Nick Christian
English
Mr. Christian teaches English and Creative Writing. He came to JPII with degrees in Liberal Arts (A.A., Central New Mexico Community College), English and Creative Writing, (B.A., Southern New Hampshire University), and English and Creative Writing with a Screenwriting concentration (M.A., Southern New Hampshire University). He serves as an advisor to the Quiz Bowl, Chess Club and Esports activities. Mr. Christian is also the Sophomore Class Moderator and is an Accredited Interscholastic Coach, head Football coach, overseen strength training, and hosted “Manuary” in his career at JPII. Mr. Christian is a member of Saint Pius X Parish in South Yarmouth.

Mr. Corcoran will be teaching 7th and 8th grade math. He holds a BS in Accounting from Boston College, and a MS- Computer Information Systems from Bentley University. Mr. Corcoran is the father of ten adult children and currently 18 grandchildren. He is a parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Acushnet where he taught middle school math for the last 2 years.

Prior to joining the SJPII Community, Patrick had over twenty five years of varied experience in the corporate world. The majority of his business career was managing a sales training organization for a major marketing and communication company in the northeast. He is a graduate of Stonehill College. Over the last eight years, Patrick held various teaching and staff roles at a Catholic Middle/High School in the greater Boston area. He also has a diverse background of basketball coaching experience from youth programs through the college level. He is the founder of Off-Season Hoops, Inc., a Non-Profit corporation which enhances the lives of adolescents through creative programming.

Mrs. DiPreta is the dance teacher in the Arts Program. She received her BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has studied dance for many years, including classes at the Boston Ballet and various dance workshops. Mrs. DiPreta has worked on Cape as a choreographer for the past 7 years and has been a dedicated dance instructor since 2006. She is a parishioner of St. Pius X Parish in South Yarmouth.

Mrs. Duvall is a native New Englander who has taught and lived in Massachusetts, Maine, California and Guadalajara, Mexico. She has taught in rural, urban, suburban, inner city areas in private, public and Catholic schools settings. She received her degree in Education from Fitchburg State College. She feels blessed to the reside with her husband in Sandwich and put her interests and varied experience in motion here at JPII. She takes pride in the fact that their son is a JPII grad, class of '14.

Mrs. Suzanne Feeney comes to us from the business world and teaches Spanish to students in grades five through eight. Mrs. Feeney earned her B.A. Spanish at Hamilton College, and she earned her M.B.A. in business administration at the College of Saint Rose. Mrs. Feeney is a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.

She graduated from Emmanuel College and brought her teaching experience from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham. She is passionate about science and hopes to continue to inspire students in these fields.

Mrs. Godfrey holds an M.Ed. In-School Leadership from Boston College, and has completed extensive post-graduate credits at SUNY, Boston University, Endicott College, and Salem State. Her graduate coursework has been in Adolescent Health, Counseling, and Leadership. She also has completed numerous certifications in Adolescent Health Issues, Violence Prevention, Substance Abuse, and Gender/Sexuality Issues, and has been the Title IX Coordinator for her building. After beginning her teaching career in a Catholic school for the Diocese of Albany. She and her husband moved to Boston to continue their graduate work. After teaching and holding many leadership positions on the North Shore (Hamilton-Wenham School District, for 23 years), she relocated to the Cape. She is the Director of Leadership Studies and the Coordinator for the Health Science Program. She is also the Grade 9 Class Advisor and runs girls’ groups for high school students. She currently teaches U.S history and government courses at the High School Division. Additionally, she serves as moderator for our student leadership group Reach Out and co-director of JPII's Concert Choir. She is a parishioner of Corpus Christi in Sandwich.

Ms. Jennifer Hollis

In addition to her role as head athletic trainer, Ms. Hollis also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of St. John Paul II School.
Ms. Hollis is a graduate of Colby Sawyer College and holds professional membership in three athletic training associations: the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts, and Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association. She brings our student-athletes experience in creating rehabilitation and return-to-play plans using therapeutic modalities including (but not limited to) ultrasounds, E-stim, cupping, Hivamat, and Graston, conducting pre-participation screenings and athletic assessments and facilitating Impact Testing, SCAT-5 and BESS testing.

Prior to relocating to Cape Cod a year ago, she has been in Banquets & Events Management as well as Private Catering at Admirals Cove Country Club, FL. Passionate about Tourism, Inter-Cultural Experiences, and Travel and trying her best to acclimatize to the cold in MA.

Mrs. Kelley was the chair of the SFXP 2012 re-accreditation self-study. Mrs. Kelley taught previously in El Mirage, Arizona. There she taught reading to students in grades seven and eight as well as art across the curriculum. Prior to her relocation to Arizona, Mrs. Kelley taught at the Ben Franklin Charter School in Franklin, MA, and at Hudson Catholic High School, her alma mater. Mrs. Kelley also taught religious education in the middle school grades. She and her family are parishioners of St. Pius X Church.

Mrs. Keras serves as the Student Accounts Coordinator for St. John Paul II School. She holds a B.A. from St. Anselm College and has served in Catholic schools on Cape Cod since 2004. Her children (Julia '16 and Jack '17) are graduates of St. John Paul II High School. Mrs. Keras is a parishioner at St. Pius X Parish in South Yarmouth.

Mrs. Kowal is a graduate of University of New Hampshire and holds a BS in Health Management and Policy. She worked for many years in Employee Benefit Consulting and volunteered in her children's schools, before joining the JPII Team in 2024. Her two children have attended JPII since 5th grade and are currently at the high school. She lives in Barnstable and is a parishioner at Our Lady of Victory Parish.

Ms. Martin has a Master's Degree in Counseling from Bridgewater State University. She has had extensive experience in both special education and counseling. Ms. Martin comes from Braintree St. Coletta Day School and Cardinal Cushing Centers where she was a special education administrator. She has studied and worked closely with children on the autism spectrum.

Amy has been working with students throughout her adult life and it is her passion. Her husband Craig and she has raised their family of three children on the Cape.

Ms. McLeod completed her masters degree in clinical social work at Boston University and earned her bachelor's degree in human development from Connecticut College. In addition to maintaining her professional license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), she holds a school social work/school adjustment counselor license in Massachusetts. Ms. McLeod is a member of Our Lady of the Cape parish in Brewster.

Ms. McPherson co-leads Student Council and No Place for Hate, is the Mathematics Department Chair, and is an assistant coach for girls soccer. She is a member of St. Pius X parish.

Before teaching at JPII, she was a lab instructor at UMass while completing her thesis research in molecular biology and immunology. In addition to teaching Anatomy & Physiology and Biology, Ms. Poirier serves as the Freshman Class moderator, Science Fair coordinator, and Science Department Chair. She is a member and youth ministry leader at Cape Cod Covenant Church in Brewster.

Mr. Remillard holds a BS from Framingham State and an MS from UMass. He is certified by the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Health Care Bioethics. Mr. Remillard is also our technical coordinator. He is a member of Christ the King Parish with his wife.

He is a parishioner at St. Joseph's in Kingston with his wife and three children.

Deacon Peter Schutzler

Deacon Schutzler served in the United States Coast Guard. He has a BS in Secondary Education/Social Studies from Penn State University, a MS in Counseling Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College and earned his School Administrative Licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through Penn State University. He has served in public and Catholic schools for 30+ years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. He was ordained a deacon in 2015. Deacon is married and has two adult daughters, one of whom resides in Hyannis. Deacon is assigned to Christ the King Parish and resides with his wife Kate in Mashpee.

He has a BS in Secondary Education/Social Studies from Penn State University, a MS in Counseling Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy from Chestnut Hill College and earned his School Administrative Licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through Penn State University. He has served in public and Catholic schools for 30+ years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. He was ordained a deacon in 2015. Deacon is married and has two adult daughters, one of whom resides in Hyannis. Deacon is assigned to Christ the King Parish and resides with his wife Kate in Mashpee.

Coach Scott opened his own facility in 2017, OPEX South Shore, in Pembroke, MA, and also owns Sustain Strength Cape Cod out of Sandwich, MA. Through various strength and conditioning roles, Scott has coached high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.

He has devoted his career to math and science instruction at the middle school level in both the public and private sector schools. He serves as co-moderator of the Bowling Club. Additionally, he served as a Senior Chief air traffic controller in the U. S. Naval Reserve.

Office Manager
Mrs. Danielle Siscoe serves as the office manager for grades 5-8 at St. John Paul II School. She has a B.A. in History and a Certificate of Secondary Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, as well as an M.B.A. from Suffolk University. She has spent much of her career as an office manager, and many years volunteering in her children's schools.

Mr. Smith is a member of Cape Cod Covenant Church.

Before coming to JPII, he spent 35 years at Plymouth Carver and Plymouth North, the last 18 of which he served as the Guidance Department Chairperson. He, his wife, and his daughter are members of St Margaret Parish.

Mr. Wahle teaches religion for the seventh and eighth grades. He holds a B.A. from Assumption College and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Pastoral Theology from the Augustine Institute. Mr. Wahle is a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish in East Sandwich where he serves as a lector.
