Transportation Reminder
December 19: No afternoon Barnstable or RTA buses

Alumni Visit Day is December 18
If you know a JPII graduate, please invite them to drop by on Thursday, December 18 during school hours to say hi to their favorite teachers and/or staff members. There will be cookies and cocoa in the High School conference room so bring a friend and stop by! Alumni are also invited  to attend our Revival from 4:30-6:30 and participate in an evening of prayer and fellowship.

Parent Partnership Meeting is on December 17
The last Parent Partnership meeting for 2025 will be on Wednesday, December 17 at 8:15 AM in the ARC at the high school. Please RSVP HERE if you can attend.

There’s no place like home…and a parent meeting for Wizard of Oz
There is a mandatory parent meeting for the Wizard of Oz at 6:30pm on Tuesday January 6th in the JPII Auditorium. Contact Mrs. Nancy Lessard (Director, nlessard@jpiihyannis.org) with questions.

The full-cast read through will be on Tuesday, January 20th from 3:15-5pm. Additional rehearsal information will be posted on Google Classroom after Christmas Vacation. 

Admissions Season is Upon Us!

Financial Assistance for the 2026-2027  School Year
The online application for financial assistance for the 2026-2027 school year is open. To be considered for financial assistance, you must complete an application each year with FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact Mrs. Keras, Student Accounts Coordinator, at mkeras@JPIIHyannis.org.

Volunteers Needed to Help Plan JPII In Bloom Gala
The JPII In Bloom Gala will once again be held at Oyster Harbors Club on Friday, May 1, 2026 and is co-chaired this year by Lori Boghdan, Cathy Castano, and Kathy Griffin-Mayo. The planning committee is looking for volunteers to help with the event from both buildings. If you would like to help plan the largest fundraiser of the year with a great group of people, please email JPIIGala@JPIIHyannis.org for details about the next meeting in January.

The Christmas Festival of the Arts is Tuesday, December 16
Celebrate the Christmas season with us on Tuesday night in the gym at the Prep division. Come early and take in the beautiful artwork created by students and then enjoy some fabulous Christmas carols. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Christmas Sweater Day is December 17
Show off your Christmas spirit by wearing your favorite Christmas sweater with your uniform on Wednesday, December 17.

Lessons and Carols, Friday, December 19
On Friday, December 19, at 10:30 A.M., students, faculty, family, and friends will gather at Monsignor Thomson Hall, where we will hold our traditional Lessons and Carols Advent Service. Using scripture readings and Christmas music, students will tell the story of the birth of Christ. Students may be out of uniform and dress up on this day in their festive Christmas attire. A gathering sponsored by the Home and School Association will follow. All are invited to attend. Dismissal is at 11:24 A.M.

Despite the cold weather, we still go outside!
As winter approaches and temperatures drop, we want to ensure the well-being and comfort of our students during recess. With that in mind, please remind your child to bring their hats and coats to school, especially as we head into the winter season.

Lunch Volunteers Needed – Preparatory Division
Do you have an hour to come to school and help with the lunch program? Volunteers are needed at the Preparatory Division to assist 11:00 to 12:00. Click HERE to sign up. It can be one hour a month or one hour a week, whatever fits your schedule!

GR 9 – 12 INFORMATION  

Revival! December 18
Our Winter Revival will be held on Thursday, December 18 from 4:30-6:30. We invite all of our high school students and alumni to attend and participate in an evening of prayer and fellowship.

Youth Street Reach Community Breakfast is December 18
JPII has a long-standing partnership with Youth Street Reach. On December 18, our students will host a special Christmas breakfast for members of our local homeless community. They will decorate, purchase the food, and prepare the meal themselves. This year’s event is being organized by our seniors: Aaron, Angelina, and Nicole.

We invite you to consider donating a small fast-food gift card to be handed out at the breakfast. These cards were one of the guests’ favorite treats last year.

Secret Santa For Seniors
Senior Cody Boghdan is once again working with the Yarmouth Police Department to bring joy, comfort and companionship to senior citizens in need. Please click HERE to learn more about the details of this project and to donate to ensure our senior citizens feel seen this holiday season.

Senior Social Justice Fair is December 17
Don’t miss this presentation of the final Senior Social Justice project. Witnessing what our students have done in the community for the past year is inspiring. Come view their project presentations and speak with our seniors about how they have made their impact on our community. The event takes place in the cafeteria in the High School Division from 1:00-2:30 PM on December 17.
