Nominate A Teacher, Principal or School Nurse
In preparation for Teacher, School Principal, and School Nurses Appreciation Days in early May, we welcome all families who attend our Catholic schools to nominate and THANK your favorite teacher, principal, staff member or nurse.  We are so blessed to have so many faith-filled, dedicated educators, nurses and support team members who serve Christ by serving families in our Catholic schools.  Nominations can be submitted here: www.catholicschoolsalliance.org/nominate/

Transportation Reminder:
Dismissal will be 11:24 AM on Friday, May 15. There will be no Barnstable buses.

Sharing Kindness Suicide Awareness Walk
On Saturday May 16th, at 10:00 AM, members of the JPII Hope Squad will lead a group of students along with any family or friends wanting to join the walk at Veterans Park Beach in Hyannis, MA to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention. This event will be counted as a service opportunity for students in all grades. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join! For those who register, please meet the group at 9:30AM at Veterans Park Beach. Used Uniforms
Have you noticed your Preparatory student has grown out of his or her uniform? Do you have a child in grade 8 who will be changing their uniform next year? What about a high school graduate? As you go through your closets, please consider donating gently used uniforms to the Roar Store for our Used Uniform Department.  Drop your donations in the main office during the day or bring them to the Roar Store after school. 

Important Calendar Announcement
The first day of school for the 2026-2027 school year has been approved and will be Thursday, August 27, 2026. New student orientation will be on August 18. Additional scheduling is still being finalized and we expect the full calendar to be ready by mid-May.

Financial Assistance for the 2026-2027  School Year
The online application for financial assistance for the 2026-2027 school year is open. To be considered for financial assistance, you must complete an application each year with FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact Mrs. Keras, Student Accounts Coordinator, at mkeras@JPIIHyannis.org.

The Roar Store

Grade 8 Graduation Portrait
The eighth grade will take a formal class graduation portrait, which will be included in the students’ diplomas. This date is set for Friday, May 15th, at 9:00 A.M. Students should come to school in regular uniforms. They will wear their graduation gowns for the picture. This is the only opportunity for the portrait, so please make every effort to be in school on May 15.

May Crowning and Living Rosary will be on May 14
May Crowning and Living Rosary at 1:30 P.M. Crowning is done by eighth grade girls Thursday chosen for this honor. Families are welcome to attend.

Still Time to Sign Up for the Free Field Hockey Clinics
Come learn the sport of field hockey from current JPII team members on Wednesdays from April 29 to June 3. There is no cost to attend, just come ready to play. Lunch Volunteers Needed – Preparatory Division
Do you have an hour to come to school and help with the lunch program? Volunteers are needed at the Preparatory Division to assist 11:00 to 12:00. Click HERE to sign up. It can be one hour a month or one hour a week, whatever fits your schedule!

GR 9 – 12 INFORMATION  

NEW Main Office Email
Effective immediately, please send ALL student related communications such as attendance, dismissal, illness, etc to the Main Office at the following email:

All School Mass May 14
On Thursday, May 14 at 10:00 AM there will be an all school Mass at St. Francis Xavier church. Full uniform will be required.

Senior Well Wishes
Consider writing a short note or letter for your senior or any seniors that you have had a connection with! If you have any small things that you would like to give these seniors, that would be great as well. The goal is to have at least one note for each student.  Please either email Ms. Mckenzie (amckenzie@jpiihyannis.org) a copy of the note to print out, or drop off an unsealed card to the mail office. Thank you again for your willingness to support our seniors with some wonderful memories.

Senior Banquet and Baccalaureate Mass
Senior Families – Please be on the lookout for Baccalaureate and Senior Banquet Invitations coming in the mail.  There is a QR code to  RSVP on the invitation. 

Junior Senior Prom is May 15
If you have not received your invitation yet, please reach out to Ms. Duvall. Guest forms are due to the Main Office by Friday, May 8. An RSVP link was sent to junior and senior emails, please be sure to respond as soon as possible.

Guidance Notes
On Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 PM  there will be an in-person guidance night for junior parents. Topics covered will be in preparation for the senior year.
