Another Busy Month

Student Council:
Our next student council event is a Grade 9-12 Powderpuff Football Game with all of the refreshments and pie you can eat.  This is a new event so come out and cheer on the girls.

The student body rallied raising $1000.00 for the Haitian Health Foundation, a cause we regularly donate to, but in the light of recent events, even more important.

Reach Out:
breakfastlionReach Out student ambassadors sponsored Breakfast with the Lions, a fun event welcoming approximately 90 8th grade Catholic school students from St. Pius, St. Margaret’s and SFXP.  Fun was had by all.

The Reach Out peer mentors have planned buddy lunches this month for our freshman and transfer students.

Finally, watch for Spirit squads at our fall tournament games.

National Honor Society:
National Honor Society has an upcoming blood drive on November 18 from 10:00 – 3:00. Parents and students 16 and older are welcome to donate blood.

The tutoring program is well underway with students available during X block to tutor any subject at JPII and SFXP.

Later  this month, NHS will hold a three-on-three basketball tournament – all proceeds will benefit a charity selected by NHS.

Also this month we will induct new members to the National Honor Society – it is a great honor and we are proud of all the work that they do.
