(Hyannis, MA- 10/8/24) The St. John Paul II School Advisory Board has appointed Larry Furey, Founder and Senior Partner at Partners In Mission and Maura Polles, Director of Faith Formation at St. Joseph, Guardian of the Holy Family in Falmouth, MA as its newest members. Mr. Furey and Ms. Polles will both serve a first term of three years, ending on June 30, 2027.
Larry Furey brings over 36 years of development knowledge to the St. John Paul II Advisory Board. Larry is skilled at providing strategic direction in all areas of advancement and has a proven record of success in enrollment management, on-site capital campaign management, major gift solicitation, planned giving and endowment programs, annual giving, boards and volunteers, communications, and advancement operations. A resident of Mashpee and a parishioner of Christ the King, Larry has provided comprehensive advancement services to Catholic schools, dioceses, and religious organizations throughout the United States. He brings a sense of confidence and stability to the Catholic schools, dioceses, and religious communities with whom he works, helping them set high goals and giving them the tools to achieve them.
Maura Polles has been serving as Director of Faith Formation at St. Joseph Guardian of the Holy Family, a Catholic parish in Falmouth, MA since 2023. In this role, Maura designs and delivers faith-based programs and activities for the parish community with a mission to inspire and empower people to grow in their relationship with God and each other. With over five years of experience as the Director of Admissions at Ursuline Academy, a prestigious independent school, Maura excelled in managing the application and enrollment processes, successfully enhancing both the yield and diversity of the student body. Her extensive background also includes collaboration on effective communication strategies, particularly in social media, to highlight the school’s values and vision.

About the Advisory Board
St. John Paul II School leadership includes an Advisory Board that provides the school with invaluable leadership, direction, and support in fulfilling its mission of school governance. Comprised of community leaders, clergy members, key parent leaders, and alumni, the Advisory Board provides advice and counsel to the Head of School, carries the school’s message to its many audiences, and strengthens the school’s external relationships. Ultimate school governance is vested in the Roman Catholic Bishop of Fall River and his designee, the Superintendent of Schools.
