St. John Paul II School is proud to announce the receipt of a $2,500 grant from the South Shore Playhouse Associates Community Trust Committee and the Melody Tent. This generous award will provide much-needed funding to purchase additional lavalier microphones for the school’s growing performing arts program.
Each year, St. John Paul II School presents two musical theater productions, providing students with opportunities to develop their talents both on stage and behind the scenes. Most recently, the school’s production of The Wizard of Oz featured more than 30 student performers, along with numerous students contributing their technical expertise in areas such as sound, lighting, stage management, and set design.
As participation in theatrical productions continues to grow, the need for additional sound equipment has become increasingly important. The grant will allow the school to expand its inventory of wireless microphones, ensuring that more student performers can be heard clearly and confidently during performances.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Melody Tent for their support of arts education,” said Lori Boghdan, Advancement Director at JPII. “This investment will enhance the experience for both our students and audiences while helping us continue to provide high-quality performing arts opportunities.”
St. John Paul II School extends its sincere thanks to the Melody Tent for helping to strengthen and enrich the arts for our students and community.
