As he prepares for his first game as a varsity football coach, new St. John Paul II mentor Matt Marshall has been pleased with the quickness exhibited by his young Lions squad to date.
“I’ve been impressed with the overall speed of the team,” said Marshall, whose squad presently numbers 32 players. “While we may not have the size and the numbers, our speed is how we’re going to compete against teams.”
Using a spread or hurry-up offense may be what St. John Paul will try do to keep their opposition guessing.
