A message as we return to school
We are grateful that our students, families, and staff remained safe during this unexpected week off due to the Blizzard of 2026. Please note that Monday will be a day 3 for our students.
As we return to school, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding while we reschedule missed instructional time and work to reestablish consistency. We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation as we work through these adjustments together and look forward to welcoming everyone back.

GR 5 – 8 INFORMATION
Parent Pick Up Safety Reminder
For safety and efficiency, please do not park in the spaces at the food pantry for student pick-up. Our dismissal procedure was thoughtfully put in place after extensive work with the Barnstable Police Department, keeping student safety as our top priority.
March Mammal Madness Begins on Friday
Since 2013, March Mammal Madness has asked the question “Who Would Win?” when two animals encounter each other in a simulated habitat of battle. On Friday, March 6, please have students wear their field trip uniforms, make sure their computers are fully charged, & bring any rayons/markers/colored pencils that they’d like to use to create posters.
The students will spend the afternoon working together in groups to fill out brackets & decide who they think this year’s champion will be. They will then use their artistic abilities to create hype posters for their favorite combatant. Throughout the month, students will be following along in science classes to see how successful their brackets are. Feel free to create your own bracket at home & compete with us.
Family and Friends Bingo is on Friday
Join us for the annual Family and Friends Bingo sponsored by the HSA on Friday, March 6 in the JPII Gym at 6:30 PM. Grab a friend, bring the family and come enjoy a fun night of friendly competition! To view the flyer, click HERE.

GR 9 – 12 INFORMATION
Second Annual Book Drive to Support Seaside Pediatrics in Yarmouth
Sophomore Liam Dunton is once again leading this important book drive. Please help by donating multilingual books and bring the gift of reading to all children in our diverse community. Seaside Pediatrics is in need of children’s books in Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. These books are given to children, infants to 12-year-olds, during their annual physicals. Let’s help to ensure that every child has access to books they can enjoy and understand. Some suggested retailers of these books: Bookshop.org, Barnes and Noble, Amazon. Bring new or gently used books to the Main Office, on or before Tuesday, March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day). Let’s make this St. Patrick’s Day, a day to celebrate not only Irish heritage but also the beauty of other cultures and learning in our community. To view the flyer, click HERE.
