REMINDER:
There will be no school on Monday, November 3. This is a Diocesan professional day.

All School Mass on Tuesday, November 4
There will be a schoolwide Mass on Tuesday, November 4 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Parish. All are welcome to attend. Grades 9-12 full uniform is required. This Mass will include the final presentation of the Grade 5 Saints Project.

November Prayer Request
During the month of November,  the Church calls for special prayers for deceased family members, loved ones, and friends. Administrators, faculty, staff, and students at St. John Paul II School invite you to submit a list of your family members, loved ones, and friends who have gone before us in faith. Our school community will pray for the repose of their souls throughout the month.

Admissions Season is Upon Us!
The best advertising is word of mouth, and we would love your help! If you know anyone interested in learning more about JPII, please share your enthusiasm for the school and the attached flyer. 

Win Free Tuition for 2026-2027!
At JPII’s Fall Fest on October 18 we learned of an exciting new raffle that will be taking place throughout the school year! Don’t miss your chance to purchase a  ticket for your chance to win FREE TUITION for one student during the 2026-2027 school year! Tickets are available until May 1 and can be purchased at any time! Every morning in Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in the heart of the High School building, we invite you to gather with us to worship. The schedule throughout the year is as follows:

Tues. and Thurs. 7:40 AM:     Liturgy of the Hours Morning Prayer
Friday                  7:30 AM:       Rosary

Keep your eyes on socials!
We have entered MIAA playoff season for fall sports. Brackets, standings and games come up quickly and can be throughout the state. Support your fellow classmates and athletes when you can! We will post games as we know them.

Congratulations to those teams that have already completed their season.

The Roar Store 
The Roar Store will be open every day during XBlocks and Monday through Thursday from 2:45-3:30. Stop by the High School building and check it out!

Thanksgiving Food Drive begins November 4
The National Junior Honor Society is holding their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive from November 4 through November 14. Please bring your donations to homeroom. For a list of suggested items and more information, please click HERE.

Gr 5 Saints Project will be Presented at Mass on November 4
A St. John Paul II School tradition, our grade 5 students will be presenting their Saint project at the all-school Mass on Tuesday, November 4. Parents, guardians, friends, and family are welcome to join us at 10:00 AM Mass and stay for the presentation of Saints immediately following at St. Francis Xavier Church. 

National Junior Honor Society Induction will be Nov. 5
At 8:30 AM on Wednesday, November 5 eligible students will be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Families are welcome to join us in the JPII gym for the ceremony to celebrate their inductee.

Family Rosary Night on Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 PM
The JPII Preparatory Division Campus Ministry invites you to come together as a JPII family to pray the Rosary. Following prayer, there will be dessert, fellowship and fun! For more information, click HERE.

Volleyball Tournament: on Friday, November 14 from 3:30-5:00
Grade 8 is hosting a volleyball tournament fundraiser open to all interested Preparatory Division students. The entry fee is $5 per team. To view the flyer, click HERE.

Lunch Volunteers Needed – Preparatory Division
Do you have an hour to come to school and help with the lunch program? Volunteers are needed at the Preparatory Division to assist 11:00 to 12:00. Click HERE to sign up. It can be one hour a month or one hour a week, whatever fits your schedule!

GR 9 – 12 INFORMATION

The National Honor Society is holding their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive from November 4 through November 14. Collection bins can be found in the Theology classrooms. For more information and a list of suggested items, please click HERE.

Gr. 11 Retreat will be Thursday, Nov. 6
Please be sure to return the permission slips for the Grade 11 retreat to be held on Thursday, November 6.

Student Council Volleyball Tournament will be Nov. 13
Hey Lions! Get ready to bump and set your way to victory and own the court because the Student Council is hosting its annual volleyball tournament on Thursday, November 13. Team registration will be held at lunch in the days leading up to the tournament. Stay tuned for more details!

 Gr. 10 and 11: Please Print and Submit a Media Waiver 
There has been a significant change to JPII’s Parent Contact and Photo Release policy. All families must print, sign, and return the 2025-2026 Contact and Photo Release Waiver, indicating their decision as to permission for the use of parent contact information or the use of student work, photographs, video, or name. 

Guidance Notes
Guidance appointments on Wednesdays throughout the semester are available on the Sign-Up Genius located HERE.

From 7:00-8:30 PM on Wednesday, November 5, there will be a Sophomore Guidance Night. This meeting is open to all Sophomore students and their parents/guardians. It will be held in the ARC at the High School.

Christian Service Opportunity 
There is an opportunity for Freshmen and Sophomore students to assist at the Lady’s Guild Annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 22. The Fair will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church Hall in Centerville.  Students will help with setup, selling raffle tickets, serving at the snack bar, cleanup, etc.  There are two shifts available (or a student may sign up for both shifts).
