Fall Fest is September 26

Opening Mass is Tuesday, September 15
Families are invited to attend opening Mass with us on Tuesday, September 15 at St. Francis Xavier Parish at 10:00 AM. Come pray for our school community with us.

High school students are expected to be in full liturgical day uniform. 

Mini Class Night is Thursday, September 24 
This is a great opportunity to meet your student’s teachers and follow their schedule. You will hear about course content and class expectations, and be provided with general grading guidelines. The evening begins with a brief assembly and presentation from the Assistant Head of School. Following the assembly, parents/guardians will attend classes according to their student’s daily schedule. Teachers will introduce themselves, explain their course content and class expectations, and provide general grading guidelines. Each “class” will be approximately 7-8 minutes in length.

Grades 5-8: 5:00-6:30 PM

Grades 9-12: 6:00-7:30 PM 

Transportation Information:
There will be no Barnstable after school buses on Friday, September 25.
There will be no Cape Cod RTA buses after school on Friday, September 25.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day is Oct. 23: Photographers Needed
On Friday, October 23, 2026 we will be celebrating Grandparents and Special Friends at St. John Paul II School with a breakfast reception in both buildings followed by Mass celebrated by Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V. 

We are looking for two more  photographers willing to share an hour or two of their time at the high school to help us commemorate this special day. You do not need to be a professional! Please reach out to Kasey Boyle to volunteer or for more details.

Admissions Open House is Sunday, October 25, 2026
Admissions season is upon us, and our families are the best advertisement for the school! If you know of anyone interested in joining the JPII community, please invite them to attend our fall Open House on Sunday, October 25 from 1:00-3:00 in the Preparatory building and 2:00-4:00 in the High School building. 32nd Annual FACE Fall Scholarship Dinner is Nov. 10
The 32nd Annual FACE Fall Scholarship dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at White’s of Westport. The evening will feature guest speaker Father Kenneth R. Sicard, O.P.,  President of Providence College. More information can be found HERE.

Join the Lions Den! Volunteer at JPII
If you are thinking about volunteering during the 2026-2027 school year and have not done your CORI forms or the Diocesan safety certification, consider taking care of those details now. There are many opportunities to help throughout the year! For instructions and links to the forms, click HERE. Used Uniforms and School Books
Please consider donating your gently used uniforms! Drop your donations of school required reading books and gently used uniforms (clean, without stains or rips) in the main office of either building during school hours.

Grade 6-8 Welcome Back Dance is Friday, September 18
The first dance of the year for students in grades 6-8 will be on Friday, September 11 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the JPII Gym. For more information about the dance, please see the flyer HERE.   

Donations and Volunteers Needed
We are looking for a few donations and volunteers to help make the dance a success. To view the items needed and to sign up to contribute or volunteer, please click HERE.

Lunch Volunteers Needed
Do you have an hour to spare during the week? The Prep Division needs help filling the lunch bins at the High School and then distributing lunches to students at the Prep. It is quick and easy! We are looking for help every day from approximately 11:00-12:15. There is also opportunity after lunch for parents to stay and give teachers a break during the X-Block period.  Please note that all volunteers must be CORI cleared by the Diocese of Fall River prior to volunteering.

Seniors and their parents are welcome to attend this informative guidance meeting discussing the path ahead on Wednesday, September 16 from 7:00-8:30 PM in the High School ARC.
