Coaches Needed
We are looking for a coach for our middle school boys and girls developmental basketball program. We are in need of at least 2, possibly 3 coaches. If you have experience coaching or playing the sport of basketball and would be interested, please contact Athletic Director Brent Petrowski at bpetrowski@jpiihyannis.org
Bishop’s Day Off
On Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day, the Bishop very generously awarded St. John Paul II School with an extra day off. Please note on your calendars that we will have Easter Monday, April 6, 2026, as our “Bishop’s Day Off.”
We will have early dismissal on Thursday, April 2 for Holy Thursday and will return to school on Tuesday, April 7.
Traffic Advisory for Wednesday, Nov 26
On November 26, Barnstable High School will have its “Rolling Rally” down Main Street in Hyannis beginning at noon. This may impact pick up after the half day.
Transportation Reminder:
November 24- No afternoon Barnstable buses
November 26- Half day, no afternoon Barnstable or RTA buses
December 10- No Barnstable Buses

Women’s Advent Mass is December 3 at 6:00 PM
Before we become inundated with holiday preparations, we invite the women of our JPII community–mothers, grandmothers, and caretakers of our students–to reflect on the special role of our own Blessed Mother in the Advent Season on Thursday, December 5. We will begin our evening together at 6 PM with the Celebration of Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Chapel. A light dinner will follow Mass in the Academic Resource Center. RSVP Here.

At JPII’s Fall Fest on October 18 we learned of an exciting new raffle that will be taking place throughout the school year! Don’t miss your chance to purchase a ticket for your chance to win FREE TUITION for one student during the 2026-2027 school year! Tickets are available until May 1 and can be purchased at any time! Volunteers Needed to Help Plan JPII In Bloom Gala
The JPII In Bloom Gala will once again be held at Oyster Harbors Club on Friday, May 1, 2026 and is co-chaired this year by Lori Boghdan, Cathy Castano, and Kathy Griffin-Mayo. The planning committee is looking for volunteers to help with the event from both buildings. If you would like to help plan the largest fundraiser of the year with a great group of people, please email JPIIGala@JPIIHyannis.org for details about the next meeting in January.

Despite the cold weather, we still go outside!
As winter approaches and temperatures drop, we want to ensure the well-being and comfort of our students during recess. With that in mind, please remind your child to bring their hats and coats to school, especially as we head into the winter season.
Winter Sports Meeting for High School Division Teams is Nov. 24
On November 24 at 6:00 PM in the High School Division auditorium there will be a mandatory meeting for any student and their parent/guardian who plans to participate in JV or Varsity winter sports from grades 7-12. Families unable to attend should contact Athletic Director Brenton Petrowski at bpetrowski@jpiihyannis.org.

On November 25 at 6:00 PM in the High School Auditorium there will be a mandatory meeting for any student and their parent/guardian who plans to participate in winter sports. We offer boys’ and girls’ basketball for students in grades 5-8. Families unable to attend should contact Athletic Director Brenton Petrowski at bpetrowski@jpiihyannis.org.
Lunch Volunteers Needed – Preparatory Division
Do you have an hour to come to school and help with the lunch program? Volunteers are needed at the Preparatory Division to assist 11:00 to 12:00. Click HERE to sign up. It can be one hour a month or one hour a week, whatever fits your schedule!

GR 9 – 12 INFORMATION
Change for Change – to benefit our local Veterans
Quinn Dillon, junior, is the first student Ambassador working with the Veterans Outreach Center on Cape Cod. This initiative is to raise awareness and funds for our local Veterans. Our goal is 500.00 which we hope to raise by the end of November. We are encouraging every student to bring in dollar bills or coins. Please consider donating or sending in a donation with your son/daughter. Collection bins will be in Theology classrooms. Please think about donating!

Student Council Volleyball Tournament will be Nov. 25
Hey Lions! Get ready to bump and set your way to victory and own the court because the Student Council is hosting its annual volleyball tournament on Tuesday, November 25. Team registration will be held at lunch in the days leading up to the tournament. Stay tuned for more details!
