St. John Paul II has featured somewhat of a “kiddie corps” this season when it came to trotting out its volleyball squad to the court.
Last season, the Lions logged a regular season 9-9 record and qualified for the post-season tournament, where they lost in the first round to Sacred Heart.
In addition, the team graduated six seniors from last season – Kyra McCabe, Allison Santos, Shannon Clifford, Mikenzie Carbone, Grace Keller and Casey Sullivan. Also, Amanda Gould and Megan Clifford did not return to the squad this season.
So, you would guess that this season would be a total rebuilding year, but not exactly so.
