“People, Look East” is derived from an Advent hymn. Each verse encourages us to make way, to prepare for the birth of Christ.
As we enter Advent and prepare ourselves for Christmas, students may find it difficult to focus on their studies. But focus they should! Throughout it all, we will encourage students to keep up with their studies, keep track of deadlines for homework and assignments and visit with teachers prior to quizzes and exams.
The good study habits and organizational skills students have formed will help them stay on track with their school work and still enjoy the activities of the season.
Of special note:
Semester exams take place January 17-20, 2017. Teachers will be available for special exam study sessions prior to the exams. Students are encouraged to attend these helpful sessions.
Guidance meetings for freshmen during December and January will focus on mid-term preparation and a review of the PSAT 8/9 results. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and their parents are invited to the January 11 PSAT Information Evening in the JPII cafeteria from 7:00 – 8:30 PM. PSAT scores will be distributed and explained.
