2025 Blue & Gold Annual Fund Co-Chairs: Doug Mayo and Kathy Griffin-Mayo P ’23, ’27

We are very excited and honored to be asked to co-chair the Blue and Gold Annual Fund this year. We have been very blessed to have experienced Catholic education with our 2 boys for over 15 years, now including college.

The school structure at JPII, both spiritually and academically, has provided a wonderful and definitively Catholic path for them to follow. The faculty and staff, and the parents have always demonstrated a willingness to unselfishly go above and beyond normal expectations.

At JPII we have found many shared values as parents. There is genuine proactive interest in the well-being of all the kids, along with a deep commitment to help when called upon or needed.

We all want what is best for our children, and it takes a village and the support of the entire JPII family to sustain and improve the school. Establishing quality and excellence, and setting ambitious and attainable goals is essential.

We are firm believers in striving for 100% participation. At the same time, we recognize that in these dynamic times it can be challenging to achieve unanimous support.  However, it’s self-evident that JPII’s goals become much more achievable when the entire school community expresses confidence by participating in an appropriate fashion.

It’s a reality that JPII is not blessed with a healthy endowment. And while current giving is positive, it can certainly grow if everyone pitches in and contributes at a level appropriate to individual circumstances.  The greater the participation, the stronger the message that JPII is a valuable and valued bastion of leadership in Catholic education.

We must broaden our outreach to all JPII families, past and present, friends, family members, parishes and our local Cape Cod Community and beyond!

As co-chairs of the Blue and Gold Annual Fund, we are proud to join the Buckleys in communicating JPII’s extraordinary impact right here in our Cape Cod community.  We aim to reach out to  friends, peers and fellow Catholic education advocates, along with Cape parishioners, to seek meaningful engagement and generous support.

Our children are precious and truly represent the future.  Strengthening JPll through enhanced philanthropy will yield a stronger school for their benefit, and ultimately for our community’s benefit!  Please join us in supporting the Blue & Gold Annual Fund.
