John Walden hasn’t had the type of senior season on the golf course that he’d hoped for. The senior from Falmouth, who is one of the captains of the St. John Paul II team, has had to deal with a shoulder injury that has kept him from playing as much as he would like and from scoring as low as he’s capable. Despite those factors, he’s continued to put a smile on his face and help his team to a solid season on the links.
Coach Geoff Converse said that Walden’s four years on the golf team have been exactly what you’d like to see from any member of the team. As a freshman, Walden was trying to figure out the wacky game he’s chosen as his second sport—he also plays hockey for the Lions—but now, as a senior, he’s one of the players whom the team depends on each match.
