St. John Paul II School is excited to announce the appointment of Doug Borsari as the football program’s next Head Coach. Borsari brings both collegiate-level playing experience as well as coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, and NFL levels.
During his undergrad years, Borsari was a two-year captain and all-conference linebacker for the Bridgewater State University Bears. As a senior at BSU, Borsari led his team to a 9-1 record and an Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship.
Upon graduation, Borsari worked multiple years as a summer camp scout for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, evaluating player performance through drill work and film. From there, Borsari has worked as a positional coach at the University of Rhode Island and then Bridgewater State University, as well as the defensive coordinator at the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. From there, Borsari shifted his focus to the high school realm as the head coach at Roxbury Prep, Carver High School, and most recently as an assistant at Plymouth South High School.
Additionally, Borsari has proven capable in the administrative side of football and athletics in his roles as an assistant athletic director at the Naval Academy Preparatory School, Director of Football Operations at the University of Rhode Island, and an administrator at the renowned Manning Passing Academy.
Borsari currently resides in Plymouth, MA, with his wife, Tiffany, and their three children, Luca, Alivia, and Noah. Borsari is a member of St. Bonaventure Parish in Manomet.
