After an injury during sophomore year at Nichols College curtailed his playing career, Matt Marshall experienced one of those career-changing moments.
“The coach approached me and said, ‘You’re a good locker room guy, how about we keep you around and I’ll teach you how to coach,’” Marshall recalled.
Things turned around for the former Bison lineman who opted for a career in coaching, and the 31-year-old resident of Middleboro was recently appointed head football coach at St. John Paul II.
