New Athletic Director For the JPII Lions

St. John Paul II School Names Brenton Petrowski as New Athletic Director

St. John Paul II School is proud to announce the appointment of Brenton Petrowski as the new athletic director effective immediately.

Petrowski brings a wealth of experience to the position at JPII. Most recently, he served as Athletic Operations Coordinator at Tabor Academy (2022-2024) and as men’s assistant ice hockey coach at Johnson & Wales, where he transitioned from part-time to full-time in 2024. Before these roles, he worked as the Athletic Operations Associate at Bryant University.

His diverse athletic background includes playing both NCAA ice hockey and lacrosse, umpiring at the NCAA level for the Cape Cod Baseball League and the NECBL, as well as coaching hockey at the youth, prep, junior, and college levels.

A Lakeville, MA native, Petrowski holds a Bachelor of Science in sports management from Johnson and Wales University as well as a Master of Science in Sport Leadership from Endicott College. He is also an avid golfer, runner, and cook, and has volunteered with the Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House.

Petrowski shares, “Athletics are an important part of the student experience, and one that can be a vehicle for young people to reach their goals. Supporting this part of the JPII community is one I am honored to be a part of, and I am excited to bring my energy and creativity to a thriving athletic department.”
