Preparatory Division students volunteered with StreetReach, an outreach mission to the homeless in Hyannis. They donated, prepared, set up, served breakfast to guests, prepared take-out bag lunches, and assisted with the clothing drive. Students enjoyed fellowship with the guests through conversation and playing games, and with each other through music and through teamwork to serve with joy. The mission of StreetReach is “to integrate education, worship, and outreach in order to make youth more aware of injustice and to respect the dignity of all people, especially the lonely, lost, and disenfranchised.” We are so proud of and grateful for our students and parent volunteers who are helping to make this important intergenerational work happen in our community. If anyone would like to volunteer to help chaperone future weekends, please reach out to Mrs. Scheffler or Mrs. Burch, who will help to coordinate.
